Also known as a “charitable IRA rollover,” a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals age 70½ or older to authorize their administrator to directly transfer up to $100,000 annually from their individual retirement account (IRA) to qualified charities, tax-free. If you are age 73 or older, the amount you transfer can satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution.

Under a matching gift program, your contribution is matched with your company’s or corporate foundation’s funds. Ask your employer about its specific requirements and ways to use its program.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is often administered by a financial services company or a community foundation. It allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support your parish and/or the Archdiocese of Chicago.
You can use your DAF to make a one-time gift, or to create a recurring monthly or quarterly gift for even more impact. While you cannot fulfill legally binding pledges with a donor-advised fund, you are able to attach a special purpose to your grants.

To conveniently initiate a grant from your DAF, click the button below. Simply type in the name of your fund sponsor, and the system will prompt you through the process.
